Understanding which pieces of equipment do and don't belong to you will allow you to not be caught off guard by rental due dates sneaking up on you in the middle of a project. Using this tip and trick, you can add as many items to the owned/rented sections as you need.

Viewing/Changing Owned or Rented Equipment: How To
To set a piece of equipment as either owned or rented, click on the Tables menu on the toolbar.
Click on Equipment.
In the Equipment window, double-click on the piece of equipment to open the Equipment Rates by Area window.
In the Equipment Rates by Area window, there will be a drop-down menu to the right signifying whether a piece of equipment is owned or not. If No is selected, the equipment will be displayed Rented. This decision will be spread to all reports, including the Equipment Summary.
Viewing Owned/Rented Equipment in Reports
To access the Equipment Summary Report, click on the Reports menu on the toolbar. Click on Reports Tree (or Alt+F9)
In the Select Report window, click on the Equipment sub-item (you may need to scroll down a ways), this will open the Equipment Report Options.
In the Equipment Report Options, select your report options like normal by double-clicking on each item in the Selection Options and Processing Options fields.
Double-clicking on Own/Rent gives you the option to display only rented equipment, only owned, or both.
Make sure Print Selected Options is checked before clicking OK.
In your generated report you will now see a column for owned and rented equipment.
